Yes. A Chore Chart is only accessible from a parent's profile page and is never seen by other member's on Goalforit.
Once you are logged in to Goalforit, you will be taken to your Profile page. Your child’s chart will appear in the “Kids Charts” section. Click on the title of your child’s chart and it will open. If your child made progress on a specific goal for a day, you simply click on the circle next to the goal for the appropriate day and have your child choose which progress sticker they want to assign to the goal.
Once a progress sticker is picked for a day, it will be used for the entire week for that Goal. But, you will be given the option to choose a new progress sticker for the Goal come the following week if you like.
The reason why we do this is because at the end of each week, you can select a “Result” for a specific goal which has the same theme as the progress icon being used. Once you click on the “Result” box you will have the choice to either assign a “great job” result or “needs improvement” result depending on how, in your opinion, your child did overall for the week on a goal.
You can print a Chart at anytime directly on your profile page by just clicking on Print under the Chart's options.
When printing a chart using a Mac, you need to do a print preview first and print it from there in order for the entire page to successfully print.
Email reminders are optional. But, it's easy to get distracted during the day and forget about your Chart. Reminders will help keep you on track by sending an email suggesting you update your child's progress. When you create a Chart, you will have the option to set an email reminder to come once a: day, week or month… or not come at all.
If you want to change the frequency of an email reminder, or simply turn it off, you have two options:
You can manage all your email reminder settings on your Email Notification Settings tab. You can access this tab by signing into the site and clicking on the Edit Account & Profile link under your picture on your profile page. Once the Edit page is displayed, click on the Email Notification Settings tab. Once you have made any changes, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
You can also change a specific email reminder setting for a Chart directly from your profile page.by clicking on the Chart's options.
To Edit a Chart, just open the chart up and click on the Edit icon at the top left corner. You can make changes, such as selecting a different chart background, adding/deleting goals or changing Moolah points, by clicking through the same 4 step process you used to create the chart. Please note, to save any changes made to a chart during editing, you must click the “Done” button on step 4.
Moolah is an optional point system you can use as an incentive for your child to successfully complete their Goals each day. You turn Moolah points on by assigning a point value (1-50) to each goal you have added to a chart during step 3 of the chart creation process. If you do not want to use Moolah points, just leave the Moolah point value set to zero for each goal (this is the default setting for Moolah for each goal).
Now, assuming Moolah points are turned on, a child earns Moolah each time they earn a progress sticker. The Moolah your child earns is saved up in a piggy bank that can be spent on rewards that you set up. You can see the Moolah Bank page by clicking on the “Moolah Bank” button in the upper right corner of your Chart. The Moolah Bank page shows how much Moolah has been earned and deposited into your child’s piggy bank as well as any Rewards you have setup on the Reward Board.
To setup Moolah Rewards, click the “Customize Rewards” button on the bottom of the Reward Board. Then you can create (or edit) your child’s Rewards and assign how much Moolah they “cost”.
But, please note, that Moolah and the piggy bank will not display on a chart unless at least one goal has a point value greater than zero assigned to it.
You can delete a Chart at anytime directly on your profile page by just clicking on Delete under the Chart's options.
