Action Plan steps are completely optional for your Goals. But, they are recommended, for breaking down a Goal into smaller steps will help you plan your path to follow in order to successfully accomplish your Goal. If you can't come up with an Action Plan when you create your Goal, don't worry, you can always add steps later by editing your Goal (see “Editing a Goal” FAQ towards the bottom of this section).
Email reminders are optional. But, it's easy to get distracted during the day and forget about your Goals and the steps you are taking to achieve them. Reminders will help keep you on track by sending an email suggesting you update your progress. When you create a Goal, you will have the option to set an email reminder to come once a: day, week or month… or not come at all.
You can manage all your email reminder settings on your Email Notification Settings tab. You can access this tab by signing into the site and clicking on the Edit Account & Profile link under your picture on your profile page. Once the Edit page is displayed, click on the Email Notification Settings tab. After you have made any changes, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
You can also change a specific email reminder setting for a goal directly from your profile page.by clicking on the goal's options.
You can edit steps in your action plan at anytime directly on your profile page. Just simply move your mouse pointer over a step to see its edit options. To change or add a description for your motivation for doing a goal, or change or add pictures to help you visualize your success, just click on Edit under the goal's options.
You can delete a Goal at anytime directly on your profile page by clicking on Delete under the goal's options.
You have three options to choose from in order to track progress on a Goal you're working on:
(1) Marking a step completed: You simply click on a step to check it off once it's completed. You can mark a previously completed step as being "uncompleted" simply by clicking on it again. Be sure to click the Save Changes button to save your progress update
(2) Using the Progress Indicator: You can use the Progress Indicator to track progress and maintain focus on steps that take a while to develop and complete. The Progress Indicator consists of 3 lights located on right side of each uncompleted step. Clicking on the Green light indicates “Progress was made" on the step since the last time progress was updated. Yellow represents “No Progress” has been made since the last update. And Red means that “Oops”, a step backwards has occurred since the last time progress was updated. Be sure to click the Save Changes button to save your progress update
(3) Journaling: You can create journal entries in order to track habits, your state of mind and/or progress as they change over time. Like all forms of progress tracking, Journaling is completely optional, but recommended.
Tracking progress using the progress indicators is completely optional. But, checking in on a regular basis to assess your progress on the steps your taking is a great way to help stay focused. And tracking your progress can help you gage how well the steps you are taking are working for you to create the successful outcomes you are working towards. You can review your progress history for a goal by clicking on its History button.
You can print a Goal at anytime directly on your profile page just by clicking on Print under the goal's options.
