Are Charts private?

Yes. A Habit Chart is only accessible from your profile page and is never seen by other member's on Goalforit.

How do I track progress on my Chart?

You have two options to choose from in order to track progress for Habits & Daily Goals:

(1) On your Profile page, your Habit chart will appear in the “Habit chart” section. Click on the title of your chart and it will open. If you made progress on a specific goal or habit for a day, you simply click on the circle next to the appropriate day and choose a progress icon you want to assign to the habit or goal. On the right side of the chart is the days in a row counter that keeps track of the progress made in two ways. First, it displays how many consecutive days in row progress was made on a habit or goal. Skip a day the habit is active, and the counter will re-set itself. The second way is to click on the counter itself, and it will display a calendar view of the entire progress history for a habit or goal, with the most recent progress chain being highlight in green.

(2) On your Profile page you will find a journal section where you can create journal entries in order to track habits, your state of mind and/or progress as they change over time. Like all forms of progress tracking, Journaling is completely optional, but recommended.

How do I print a Chart?

You can print a Chart at anytime directly on your profile page by just clicking on Print under the Chart's options.

I use a Mac and only a portion of my Chart prints off. What should I do?

When printing a chart using a Mac, you need to do a print preview first and print it from there in order for the entire page to successfully print.

What is an Email Reminder and why would I use it?

Email reminders are optional. But, it's easy to get distracted during the day and forget about your Chart.  Reminders will help keep you on track by sending an email suggesting you update your progress. When you create a Chart, you will have the option to set an email reminder to come once a: day, week or month… or not come at all.

How do I change an Email Reminders frequency ... or turn it off?

If you want to change the frequency of an email reminder, or simply turn it off, you have two options:

You can manage all your email reminder settings on your Email Notification Settings tab. You can access this tab by signing into the site and clicking on the Edit Account & Profile link under your picture on your profile page. Once the Edit page is displayed, click on the Email Notification Settings tab. Once you have made any changes, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

You can also change a specific email reminder setting for a Chart directly from your profile page.by clicking on the Chart's options.

How do I edit a Chart?

To edit a Chart, just open the chart up and click on the Edit icon at the top left corner. You can make changes, such as selecting a different chart background, adding/deleting goals & habits or changing reward points, by clicking through the same 4 step process you used to create the chart. Please note, to save any changes made to a chart during editing, you must click the “Done” button on step 4.

What is "Rewards" and how does it work?

Rewards is an optional point system you can use as an additional way to add incentive for you to successfully complete your habits & daily goals. You turn reward points on by assigning a point value (1-50) to each goal or habit you have added to a chart during step 3 of the chart creation process. If you do not want to use reward points, just leave the point value set to zero for each goal or habit (this is the default setting)

Now, assuming rewards points are turned on, you earn points each time you earn a progress icon. The reward points you earn are saved up in a rewards bank that can be spent on rewards that you set up for yourself.

To setup your rewards, you just click the “Customize Rewards” button on the bottom of the Reward Board on the Rewards Bank page. Then you can create (or edit) your rewards and assign how many points they “cost”.

But, please note, that rewards will not display on a chart unless at least one goal or habit has a point value greater than zero assigned to it.

How do I delete a Chart?

You can delete a Chart at anytime directly on your profile page by just clicking on Delete under the Chart's options.
