About Me

I moved to Boston from the Midwest about a year ago. I love the city and being on my own. I'm working for an architectural firm downtown and can take the subway to work. The best part of my day is coming home from work and having my cat Lily meeting me at the door. She's been with me most of my life and being new to the city, she has provided some consistency during the transition. I've met some friends from work, but I hope to get involved in the community to meet more people out here. I could see myself living in Boston for a very long time!

Last month when my cat went to the vet they decided to take a blood test, because he was 18 years old. I was very concerned when they said he had a thryroid condition because I didn't really know what that would involve. They told me I can easily keep it under control with medication, a healthy diet and eventually get radiation that could shrink the thyroid and cure the problem. Because I'm on a fixed income, I'm going to stick with the medication for now and save up for the treatment.
