Great goal! Not sure if you have seen the SMART goal acronym but this link gives some good descriptions on how to help write them too using it. Just thought I would share. :)

This is a great goal for good action plans evolve over time. For example, the first goal I set on GFI was to lose 30 pounds. I started with just 1 step at first: weigh myself every Saturday. And, my action plan then evolved into 11 steps in a few months as I uncovered the factors that were holding me back from losing my weight. In essence, my action plan steps evolved to overcome specific obstacles. And, after many false starts, I finally lost the weight. That all said, assessing & tweaking action plan steps are an important element that helps ensure that a goal becomes a reality. Wishing you great success on this and thank you for posting this goal!

(in response to letarussell)The biggest change I've made is drinking more water. It's easier said than done, but is not without it's benefits. Some of my other goals are to learn different subjects. Since I've started drinking more water, I've discovered that I am retaining the information more than usual.
Aside from that, I'm paying close to what I eat. 6 meals a day with 1 serving of carbs and 1 serving of protein each and eating more vegetables. In addition to that, I've been doing Yoga, strength training (not weight training) and cardio. I've been slipping a little on all of these, but I haven't gained any weight back. Whenever you slip and fall, you just have to get back up and keep trying.

Good health is one of best things you can do for yourself and your family. I took off 30 pounds in 2008. It took me a year, but it was worth it for I have more energy, more stamina, more get-up & go. Good health is a great foundation goal, for good health is the horse power for achieving all our other goals. Wishing you great success on this and congratulations on the positive outcome at the scale!
