I once was a national level athlete, but God was not leading my life...so everything fell apart. I got depressed, and started an eating disorder which turned into binge eating and I had to stop running.
I am now so much closer to God, but still struggle with over eating.
I know God is calling me to be disciplined, and to take up running again for Him. Only by His grace is this possible!
"The LORD your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy." Zephaniah 3:17
"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win...(I Corinthians 9:24-27).
