My Grade So Far

So far this class is pretty tough, but I am barely managing to finish this out. i have scored really low on all my quizzes. I asked my professor if there was any extra credit that i could do and the answer was a depressing no. So I guess from here on out I have to score really well on both my homework and my quizzes, so we will see how it goes.

Unit 3 Discussion

It is good to see a little challenge in this discussion. I do not really know a whole lot about Linux or Novell operating systems. It is going to be good to do some research and figure out what they do and how they operate. Looking forward to this.

Addictions & Experiences

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;">Some addictions are easier to get wrapped up in than others. Heroin is one of the worst drugs out there, and I let it control me. I never thought that the initial shoot up would suck me in the way it did. Having heroin readily available within five minutes at any given time, I became custom to waking up every morning to immediately take that initial fix and it continued sporadically throughout the day. I felt that as long as I was high, I could do anything and I felt invincible. I lived each day repeating the same cycle running my own video production company to support the habit. While I was high I felt work to be enjoyable, and I also thought that nobody knew that I was using heroin; so I thought. I tried hard to conceal my addiction, so I wore long sleeve shirts so that nobody could see the evidence of my daily abuse. <span> I started a very rapid downhill spiral into “nothingness” and into a feeling of worthlessness and uselessness. It was because of the emotional stress the heroin caused and the negative self talk I had created, that led me into attempted suicide, but I failed both times. I sought the help from my father, as I knew he was waiting for me to make the responsible decision, and he already had made arrangements to put me into rehab. <span> I stayed in rehab for a full year as I was committed to getting my life back on track. The first few months of rehab were some of the hardest times in my life being strapped down to a table to restrain me from causing injury to others or myself. <span> I have been clean for almost 4 years and I realize now that my life has meaning and purpose.<span>  I value those lessons in my life and they have made me value who I am and what I can accomplish.<span>

Got Sticker

Today we got a sticker on the truck telling us that the apartment complex was going to tow it. Well the reason they put the sticker on their was becuase one it has not moved in a few days and two that the tags are not up to date like they want them to be. Well I came home from work when Carrie told me of the news. She all ready put gas in the little gas can and was ready for me to put it in the truck and start the truck. Upon starting it, it was blowing out a bunch of black smoke smelled way to rich and the idle still needs to be adjusted. So I figured that it may just need to be driven to clean out the gas that had been setting there for awhile. Well that didn't seem to work it stalled at nearly every stop sign from here to the gas station. So guess it is back to the drawing board and figure out what the root of the problem is.

Unit 1 Quiz

Well I took the Unit 1 quiz and the outcome was not so good, I got a 39.2 percent. Hopefully next unit will be easier and if not I will just have to adjust and spend a little more time working on the problems and making sure that I understand it before I have to take the Quiz.

Not as easy as I thought

This class so far is not as easy as I thought it was going to be. I thought that I could just breeze through this class, but instead I have to learn how a microwave works. But that is okay I am going to do and with the help of Carrie we will get it done. I like to learn new things specially when it comes to the technical things in life.

This week

Well I went out to start the truck the other day, and it started but then it acted like it was gonna die and I smelled gas. Looking at the gas gauge there is no gas opps. I am gonna have to go and put some fuel in a gas tank and then start it up take it to the station and fill'er up. Hopefully next week I will make a progress on Operation Chevy.

Math

As I get closer to finishing this term, I am realizing that I am still staying afloat of passing this class. Actually I hopefully will be doing more than just passing the class I hopefully will be getting a B in the class. Math is not one of my better subjects it ranks right up there with English. So I will keep track of what assignments are due and do the best that I can on them and then some more.

Rebuilt The Carburator

A couple of weeks ago we took the Truck over to one of my co-workers house. We proceeded to rebuild the carburator, it was a long hot day to be rebuilding a carburator. We had never rebuilt a Rochester 4 barrel carb before but we took the challenge head on. We had really no problems to speak of thought we had it all dialed in and were good to go. We took it on a test drive just to see if everything was indeed done right, and much to our suprise it was not the truck bogged out when I accelerated and seemed like it was getting to much gas. I figured we had enough for one day we should do when we have a clear collective mind and see what we messed up. So this past weekend I took back over to his house to see what was wrong to make a long story short his neighbor the one to left said that we had the bracket that was connected to the choke backwards. We flipped that around and set the choke to wide open. We took it out for a little spin and the truck ran 100 percent better. I want to thank My Love, and Bobbie and the neighbor to left for helping me rebuild the carb. Now we know what to do next time. Thanks
