My successful outcome will be if I can quit for 5 weeks straight. I will know that I have beaten it. I will also know by being able to exercise easier and feeling my moods regulating.
I will do so many things by starting to write on a regular basis. I will get my thoughts down on paper, keep my blog up which will help my coaching business, and also get a great start on my book!
That is so awesome. Yah, it has been weird for me. What I learned from that amazing course is that the physical symptoms are actually quite minor, it is the attachment I had to it. No lie...as I was reading the course and starting to understand and let go of my attachment, I automatically smoked less...without even trying. Surprised me quite a bit.
Good job! Thanks for posting that site. i think I'll take a look at it. I'm in the process of quitting too. 4 days ago I was at a pack a day. I crumbled today and had one. It's interesting that you mentioned the psychology aspect of quitting. I'm learning how to deal with the physical aspect..the withdrawal... Mind over matter, mind over matter... :) Ria
Yes i have found that basically quadricep exercises strengthen the muscles around the knee joint. Daily stretching of the hamstrings and quads as well. Certain exercises such as stiff legged leg lifts, squats, lunges with lunging knee not lunging past opposite ankle and hips dropping straight down, leg extensions, box steps, and leg curls as well as stability ball exercises are all part of the formula. I'm thinking I am going to have to do these exercises 3x a week to increase strength in the legs to support my knee.
