Supporting kids business

My two young boys have decided that they wanted to start their own business (just like Mom and Dad).  So I discussed things that they like and suggested many business opportunities that may interest them.  Of them all, they liked the snow cone business.  I thought that it would be good because it can be seasonal and it will not interfere with thier education.  It can also keep them busy during the summer and give them an opportunity to learn responsibility, ethics, values, and work ethic.  It will also help them learn to "think outside of the box."  I do not want to raise "sheep" that follow the herd.  I want them to pursue whatever interests them and we will always support them.

My status on finishing my B.S. degree

I have finished my Biology I lab with a B-.  I really wanted an A-, but I will take what I can get.  Considering that I do not have child care arrangements for me to study while taking 16 credit hours, I think that I am doing fine.

I have almost completed my chemistry II lecture.  Taking this class in 6 weeks was total sucide.  It helps to have another non-traditional student as a class buddy to get through it.  We motivate and keep each other "in the game" when we lose steam and want to say, "#!@&  it."

I have applied to Graduate school.  I still need to take the GRE.  I am hoping that I can get this done in July.  If I get in, I could complete my M. S. in Public Health.  If I can achieve this, I can thumb up my nose to my family and say..."See. I did it..Without your support."

Now...If I can only get a job....

There is a time to laugh, a time to cry, a time to rest, and a time to begin

Okay...I have finally decided to take on one of many challenges in my life.  I want to get myself in better health and fitness so that I can be an inspiration and mentor for my boys.

The boys and I walked around the block in a "walk race."  I know that I am not in the shape that I was as newlywed and that I must take baby steps.  I figure that if I begin it would also get my husband motivated to "get serious" about his fitness.  We both know we "need" to do it to stay healthy; however, we have not "wanted" to do it until this week.  So, I am taking the first step...
