About Me

I'm just a family person that loves my farm animals. I love spending time with my family (my son and husband).  I'm trying to accomplish some new goals this year to make life easier and more enjoyable. This day and age everyone lives to fast and I just want to slow down and enjoy each moment today because you never know what tommorrow will bring. God bless everyone and take time to embrace even the small things in life.

My Goals

Comments

I have a horrible clutter problem (along with motivation problems too). I read something that supposedly Jerry Seinfield did to motivate himself to write everyday--get a calendar (only for this purpose), and every day you do what you set out to (mine is clean or sort through something--anything--even sorting the mail counts) and mark the date with a big red X. Soon enough a chain of X's are going and you won't want to break the chain. Seeing those X's up there is a good trigger for me to get something done. Hope that helps; you can do it!

check out the book by alan carr "easy way to stop smoking" at the library. You don't need to quit smoking to read it!

I'm on my 5th week of not smoking. I found that the nicorette gum was to nasty. what worked for me is the patch. make the quit date, put on the patch and suck it up. have carrot sticks or what ever you may want to snack on that is healthy. For me I used the 2nd step patch the 1st patch is too strong. My husband used the 1st patch, it worked for him. If you feel too anxious you may need step 2 like me. I have quit many of times, that I can do. It is staying quit which is hard for me. Hopefully if my husband stays on track with me we can do this together. My husbands sister died of lung cancer at 41. she was a single mom in which we are raising and have adopted our youngest daughter. I also now have three teenagers and my middle one now 16 has started to smoke. The only thing I can do is stop even though I loved the ritual. Have you heard of Kava Kava? It definetly helps with the nerves and gives you a sense of well being. if you can deal with the nasty taste. If you get it at the health food store, get it with less alcohol. best of luck on your dedication to be a healthy mom!!!! P.S do not smoke in your house or in the car with your child! This in it self will help you stop smoking and protect your child from illness in which I am dealing with because my sister-in law did smoke with her child around. Best of Luck!

As a former smoker myself, I know quitting is not easy ... but I can tell you that it is so worth while. Wishing you the greatest success on this!
