About Me

I am a 29 year-old single mother of Wynne, who is 4, and Maria (Mariah), who is 2 but will be 3 May 30. They are my world, my life, my heart and soul. They are precious, sweet angels and I am soooo blessed to have them as my children. The past 2.5 years have been extremely trying for me. The reason I am sharing this with you is because of the type of site this is and if anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them. My ex-husband was a horrible man and to make a long story short, he broke my leg in three places. I was rushed to he ER and directly to surgery placing a rod and three screws in my leg. As a direct result, I now have a chronic pain disease called RSD, a.k.a. CRPS.

I am in constant pain and I have to take a lot of medicine which can sometimes leave me pretty loopy, along with many other side affects. I am also unable to stand, walk, lie, or sit for long periods of time. I cannot run, jump, kneel, etc. So, you get the idea, right? I have been searching everywhere since "the incident" for a way to find a job that could accommodate my needs, especially for flexibility. I graduated from college with a 3.3 and am interested in everything and can learn anything fairly quickly (except Calculus). Does anyone have any ideas that are legitimate and not a waste of time? I have searched all these "work from home" sites. Most of them are scams and the ones that are legit do not pay very much. If anyone has ideas, I would love to hear them.

I feel as though I have exhausted my options and I do not know what to do. Thank you so much for reading and I am sorry to lay all this on you, who I do not even know, but I just need a fresh perspective. This may seem kind of weird for me to be so open, but I am trying a different approach at all this because what I was doing was getting me nowhere. I feel like I have been in this box since all this happened. My box is safe and I have moved around in the box a lot, but I have not left it. Now, that I am ready to find out what is outside of my box, I still can't seem to get anywhere. Does any of this make sense? I cannot believe I am doing this right now, but oh well.....at least if you think I am some crazy lady, chances are you do not know me anyway!!! I totally understand those of you who are like "Ohhhh, my gosh, look at what this girl wrote on here". However, I thank those of you and can take this for what it is whether or not you leave feedback. I am just going to goal for it (I know that is cheesy, but I just had to use it)!!

Hi, to get my daughter ready for kindergarten last summer I started a chart with some behavior goals and a few chores geared towards getting herself ready in the am: waking up on time, brushing teeth, getting dressed. Then, as she mastered certain goals / chores, I swapped them out for new goals/ chores (and changed the chart background to give the chart a "fresh" look) Towards the middle of summer, I started creating custom goals gearing up for school: practice alphabet, practice sounds, practice counting ect. What was great was we had already developed a lot of good habits (behavior, getting herself ready in the am and learning goals) by the time school started.... especially because my daughter was a spring baby. As for rewards, I use the moolah points. My daughter has two different levels of rewards that cost different amounts. Low cost rewards are certain privileges: watching TV, playing the wii, making her favorite dinner, ordering pizza. High cost rewards are things she needs to save up for: a new outfit for a dolly, going to the movies. Consequences are taking points way. The key for me as a daddy is being consistent. We review my daughter's chart every night before bedtime and talk about her day. I also use the Goals Tracker for myself to plan and track goals I set for me to help my little one too. Hope this help and best wishes to you on your goals!
