Anybody have thoughts on Jamaica as a vacation destination?
Well, with the new outbreak of H1N1V whatever the virus is called, we are in a worse position for making up our minds as to a vacation destination.
We were about to stick with MX in the face of the violence as our travel agent (and family member) advised it was fine where we were thinking of going.
Now, as our previously chosen location was near Cancun (south a bit), we are unsure...
Any thoughts?
Well, interestingly enough, I have been exercising more over the past month, but the scale says I have gained both fat and overall weight!
Really not sure how to take that. I can't tell if I am getting less 'chunky' or what!
Guess I'll just have to try harder this month and see how it goes...
Well, when I measured myself in the beginning of April, things weren't as encouraging. The scale said I lost 1% body fat, so at least I didn't gain anything.
Honestly, did not commit as much as I should have to the course of action.
Will have to try harder in April...
Need to get back on this. When I get busy, it seems like this is the first thing to suffer.
I need to re-commit to this goal... Need to figure out some type of reward for myself that will help with my motivation.
I have mixed in some high intensity running into the cardio training with an attempt at boosting fat loss and also increasing cardio fitness.
So, changing my intervals this week.
3 min warmup, jog at easy pace for 3 mins, walk for 1 min, run at 80% for 2 mins, walk 1 min, run at 90% for 1.5 mins, walk 30 sec, run at 90% for 1.5 mins, walk 30 sec, run flat out for 1 min, walk 1 min, run flat out another min, walk a min...
something like the above... may mix in some jogging into there instead of walking if I can handle it. :)
I have noticed that as I start to lose some body fat that it is much easier to maintain better posture. I think it is just as much a confidence issue as a laziness/unfit issue.
This is what I am thinking:
Higher level of fitness ==> Higher Confidence ==> Higher probability of standing/sitting up straight.
Well, with the current state of Mexico. I am thinking about re-evaluating our summer vacation spot.
I heard the violence and such are spreading throughout the country and it isn't localized to the border towns. Tourists are targets for ransom, etc... Not an appealing sentiment for a 'vacation'...
So, my doctor wasn't too impressed with the goal.
He stated that it should be a lifetime goal / lifestyle to maintain. He said that he would rather see me at a consistent 20% body fat my whole life while maintaining regular excercise and dietary structure than to kill myself to get to 9% then go back up to 15%, then back down to 10%, etc...
Not sure how I feel about that. lol
Considering moving from a normal Mach3 to an electric shaver.
Could potentially save time and water.
Does anyone have recommendations on good electric shavers to try out?
